Thanks to a very delayed leak, Star Wars fans can now get a look under the hood at the cancelled time.
Although development didn't get a chance to complete the game, there was a working prototype that showed off some of the game's mechanics. In 2015 some details about the cancelled game were revealed by former members of the development team and it was revealed that Force Unleashed 3 was planned as a more open-world title that would have seen Starkiller (the protagonist of the series) teaming up with Vader to fight off a new threat from the emperor. Although gamers will never be able to play it, there is now a chance to get a look at what could have been. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action-adventure game developed by LucasArts and part of The Force Unleashed multimedia project. It was initially developed for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles and on iOS, second-generation N-Gage, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and Java-equipped mobile phone handhelds.

The third Force Unleashed game was in development at LucasArts and eyeing up a release for Xbox One and PS4 (which were next-gen consoles at the time), but was sadly cancelled long before its launch. Originally released in 2008 for NDS, PSP, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is coming to Nintendo Switch on April 20, 2022.
Star Wars The Force Unleased was meant to be a trilogy, but it seems like gamers will never get a chance to experience the third installment in the dark-side focused action-adventure franchise. The Ultimate Sith Edition of Star Wars The Force Unleashed is a special new version of the game that introduces gamers to the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself.
