If it wasn't for the damn paint stripping off the keys, I would have stuck with it until it died. Purchased it when I was a 'hardcore gamer' so it had to have LED's and macros (which I've never used) lol. It was my first 'non-standard' keyboard and twas very cool. Overall, I have had an A+ experience with this keyboard. Wires must drape over the keyboard of over your armrest. This is pretty nick picky, but these knobs are unnecessarily massive and don't suit the overall 'sharp' design. After 2 years of use, the lettering on various keys have started to disappear due to the coating deteriorating. Mute bottom is located right next them, a feature which lacks in a surprising number of keyboards I don't use F keys all that often anyway, so smaller the better. This keyboard however addresses this aesthetic flaw and makes them slim and sleek. Easier access in contrast to a key which would have been rendered useless anyway.ĭue to the isolation of the F keys, the regular sized keys look monstrously large. One windows button is more than enough and the extended spacebar is a great replacement. A very brief, smooth, but noticeable resistance which I can't find a word to describe except for classy. Weighing in at 55g, these keys feel very good to press. Admittedly it could be a little brighter, but the distinct and dedicated illumination between each and every key is a seriously secksy feature. The only speed option currently available is the Cherry MX Speed Silver, which has an actuation distance of 1.2mm and a total distance of 3.4 mm. These switches have a shorter actuation distance, which means it does not need to be pressed as far for the key to register. I've never seen a more defined and beautiful keyboard backlight. Cherry MX Speeds are another interesting option from Cherry.

I also know that the manual states the last 4 lanes are bound to the M.2 slot using the 5820k, but with all the BIOS updates that may no longer be true.Very enjoyable to type on. However, its latency is a bit high for a wired keyboard, which might disappoint more serious gamers. Is there any way to switch the last 4 lanes of the 5820k from the empty M.2 slot to the last PCI-Ex slot?ĮDIT: I know the Xeon I want is not on the supported CPU list. The Cherry MX Blue switches on our unit have a fairly light operating force and a short pre-travel distance, which results in a quick and responsive gaming experience. I don't need Quad CF or quad card SLI: I'm going to do renders, so the PCI-Ex bandwidth will not need to be 8x.
OK, let's concede the dramatic 12c 24t effect in Task Manager would be a nice view. I'd just need to enable the 4th PCI-Ex slot so that the last card could fit. Thruth be told, although the Xeon e5-2658 v3 comes so cheap I'd need to buy 2 to make the cost of a RVE or WS, I don't really need it. The only other possibility was the X99-E WS at the time, since the previous GA-X99-UD7 died on me.

Microsoft Sidewinder 圆 Media Bar no longer working., I seem to have inadvertently uninstalled or overridden the drivers for my Microsoft Sidewinder 圆, and now the media bar on top no longer works. I don't do much overclock anymore, but the RVE remains a very robust board with lots of options. Hi there, My Bluetooth mouse Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse is paired to my PC but will not connect any more. I'm currenty running a 5820k, but since my applications shifted from CPU computing to GPU acceleration, I find the 28 lanes are a limiting factor (4th slot disabled). As per the title, I'd like to know if the standard RVE (no usb 3.1, no v10) could work with this particular processor since I can afford a very good deal for it.
